About Agnes the Alien

Hi, I'm Agnes. This is a sort of "extended about page."

I'm not very good at knowing who I am. So I'll tell you who I've been, what I like, and what I do. I'm 25 right now (Aug 20, '26), born June 27 in Michigan. I was raised in Arizona, but it sucked there and I moved back when I was 19. It sucks marginally less here in Michigan; I do consider it my home.

I don't do much in real life, but I'm trying to change that as much as is possible. I love people and being around them, my body just hates working, and I have ANXIETY. But I have a passion for helping others. I have wanted to be a hospice worker my whole life and I'm currently about to begin college, with the goal of eventually getting my mDiv and volunteering in hospice chaplaincy. I'm a recent convert to the Religious Society of Friends, or Quakerism. Faith--and the intersection of faith with queerness, disability, and other marginalization--means a lot to me. But I'm chill, I promise; I have a lot of religious trauma and refuse to further it. I am of faith because I love others and this world, and I use it as a tool to spread only positivity when I can and when it is appropriate to do so. I didn't want to spend too long talking about faith here, because there's so much more to who I am, but it's becoming increasingly important to me these days.

I say I love writing in my main about, but it's really more than that. I am writing. I have to write or I'll die and it's always been that way. I write a lot of fanfiction, but I write a lot of original stuff too. I was published a few times. I've changed my pen name so many times throughout my life but I've always written about grief, trauma, and dissociation even since day one. I have the first poem I ever wrote framed and displayed on top of the water dispenser. I have one of my first short stories, a piece about young girls who were immune to fire and had been kidnapped and kept in a basement, on a USB stick still. I wrote it when I was 10. I still haven't finished a novel but I'm trying to. I write and I write and I write. I don't know who I would be if I couldn't write.

I do other forms of art, but I take them less seriously. I make shitty music. I draw sometimes. I make quote unquote games. I take pictures. I embroider and I do DIY clothing stuff and I sculpt and I don't share any of those 3 things. I am always looking for new ways to be creative, new ways to merge technology and the arts. Art in every form is why I live. I cannot kill the art in me. Can you?

I'm a lesbian and my gender is such. I am also an alien. That's not just my internet name---I do consider myself an alien. I have always been othered by most of the world, always seen as something on the peripheral of human but never quite reaching, and I have never felt like I belong here. I feel like something different. Something that doesn't have a body. Something made of energy, of light. I love humanity, but I do not feel like a human. I feel like I am watching humanity from the spaceship of my bedroom, studying it and loving it. I guess you could call me alterhuman but I just consider it who I am.

I have an amazing partner who I adore. I have a really amazing support system of wonderful friends and family just in general and I am endlessly thankful for them. I feel like I have a home in the world. I feel like a creature born of love like how Athena was born from the head and the funny thing is where I was born there was no love involved. I love everything. I don't know how to stop saying that, or doing that. I'm an incredibly sensitive person and I'm proud of how deeply I feel but it isn't fun either. So I just float and continue on, full of passion.

I got into technology when I was a kid via forums and freewebs.com and my father being generally really techy. I started using the PC at like 4. I started doing a lot of things then. I learned HTML and later I learned more HTML and then eventually I learned how to self-host. Now I am truly chronically online. I love the web and I have a strong interest in making it a better place. I want the web from before back, but I want a better and kinder version of it, not exactly how it was. I love doing new projects and deploying new websites and fuckin around with code (I so far have coded mainly in Ruby and I'm currently learning Python and Javascript.) I feel like there are zeroes and ones where my neurons should be.

I don't know where I'm headed in life but I want to be a mom and I want to touch others with my art and make a real impact and I want to be happy, mostly. I kinda am, I'm getting there. I've stopped changing existences finally, I think.
